New: send a history script or a published video and get a fact-check report, every claim checked against a source, for $25. If you then order your first video within 30 days, the $25 comes off it.
Terms and refund policy updated to cover the reports.

Workspace link
Your first purchase now shows a private workspace link after checkout. Videos created through it use what you paid for, on any device.
A video submitted with only an email no longer uses the payment on that email, because anyone can type an email. Pay for it from its own page (it is covered once the payment reaches us), or start it from your workspace link.
Lost your workspace link? Email [email protected] from the address you paid with.

Buying a video · payment matching
The $49 first video and the $99 single video can now be bought directly on the pricing page.
Videos bought one at a time are kept separately from a plan's monthly videos and stay usable if a plan ends. Unused plan videos roll forward one month, as the terms say, and stay usable for a month after a plan ends.
A video submitted before paying is matched to the payment automatically when it arrives with the same email.
Checkout is sold through Link, Stripe's checkout service: receipts come from Link and card statements show LINK.COM* QUIETREEL. The Terms and privacy policy now say so.

Guide: which stock footage is safe for a monetized channel
New page: a licence-by-licence reading of the free and paid footage libraries, public domain archives and museum open-access programmes, plus the YouTube rules a licence does not cover.
Each summary was re-read against its source by a second, independent pass, and where a source would not load, the page says so.

No more free samples · first video $49
Free watermarked samples have ended. Each one took most of a working day of research and fact-checking, and that work now goes into paid videos.
New: your first video is $49, one per customer, with the same scene-plan approval, re-render rounds and bundle as the plans. Start a monthly plan within 14 days of its delivery and we refund the $49 from your first month. Extra single videos are $99.
New documentary style: licensed, filmed footage (Pexels) and museum and archive photographs and paintings that are public domain or openly licensed, with no AI-generated images. Museum images are labelled on screen with what they are, and every clip and image is listed with its licence in a credits file. The generated-visual style stays available.
Earlier versions of this site said "no stock footage". That stopped being true when the documentary style arrived, so the copy now describes both styles.
The first-video "guarantee" is now described as what it is: a free re-render, or a refund of that month, if your first render departs from the approved scene plan, within 14 days of delivery.

First member pipeline run · repriced honestly · founding-member lock
First end-to-end pipeline run for a waitlist member: a fact-checked scene plan (every claim sourced to NobelPrize.org, Nature, and DeepMind) plus a finished watermarked render, generated within 48 hours of submission.
Repriced: $99 / $199 / $399 per month. The old $39–159 pricing undersold what the pipeline does: research, source verification, scene-plan approval, and QC on every video. Studio is now 12 videos per month.
Founding-member lock: waitlist members and our first 20 customers get 30% off ($69 / $139 / $279), locked for 12 months.
Video length spec adjusted to 7–12 minutes to match what our published demo actually is. The spec follows the proof, not the other way around.

Landing page live · real scene-plan demo · breath-paced narration
quietreel.com is up, with the waitlist open.
Published a real 26-scene approval plan from a production video: the exact document customers approve. (That page now shows a newer, longer plan.)
Narration engine upgrade: per-sentence synthesis with natural breath gaps. No more one-breath TTS reading.

Self-owned render stack complete · pricing locked
Voice and image generation now run on our own openly-licensed stack: no per-generation vendor credits, no mid-render failures on someone else's empty balance.
Signature deep-baritone narrator locked after a five-voice audition.
Pricing locked: $39 / $79 / $159 per month, denominated in finished videos.
