Who we are
QuietReel is operated by 9536-1176 Quebec Inc., Quebec, Canada. We decide how and why the personal data described here is used, which makes us the controller for it. Privacy questions and requests: [email protected]. We answer within 30 days.
What we collect, and why
- Free sample requests (offered until October 10, 2026): your email, channel niche, a topic and, if you gave it, your channel URL. Used to produce and deliver the sample and to tell you about the launch. Legal basis: the steps you asked us to take before a contract, and our legitimate interest in following up once.
- Orders and subscriptions: your email, the topics, scripts, notes and preferences you submit, your scene-plan decisions, and the order record itself. Used to produce and deliver your videos and to run your plan. Legal basis: performance of the contract.
- Payments: handled by Stripe and sold through Link, Stripe's merchant-of-record service, which also sends your receipts. We receive your email, what you bought (a plan or single videos), Stripe's payment and customer reference numbers, and the subscription status; we never see or store card numbers. Legal basis: contract, and legal obligations around records of sale.
- Support email: what you send to [email protected], kept in our mailbox to handle your request.
- Site usage: anonymous counters for a handful of events (a sample video played, a plan button clicked, a form submitted) with the day and the campaign source. No cookie, no IP address, no identifier is stored with them. A short-lived hashed form of your IP address is kept for one hour only to limit abuse of our forms.
- Operational alerts: when you order, approve a plan or pay, a notification containing your email and the order summary is sent to us over Telegram so we can act on it quickly.
What we do not do
We do not sell personal data, run advertising trackers, or set advertising cookies. We do not use your scripts, topics or delivered videos as marketing samples without your written permission. We do not train models on your content.
Browser storage
The site sets no cookies. Your browser may keep a few small values locally for convenience: the campaign source you arrived from (so we can count where visitors come from without identifying you); your workspace link, its email and the links of videos you created or opened on that device (so it opens your workspace and your videos without the links; Sign out removes the workspace link); and, in the admin area we use ourselves, an access key. You can clear them from your browser at any time.
Who processes data for us
- Cloudflare (United States, with global infrastructure): hosting, security, storage of orders and counters, and the image and video generation used in production.
- Stripe and Link (United States and Ireland): payments, receipts, subscriptions and the billing portal.
- Zoho (India and United States): our hello@ mailbox.
- Telegram (Dubai): operational alerts to us.
- Generation providers we may use for individual shots in the generated-visual style (for example WaveSpeed or Modal): they receive the still image and prompt for that shot, never your account details.
- Footage and image libraries (for example Pexels and Wikimedia Commons): for documentary-style videos we search them for clips and images; they receive search terms drawn from the scene plan, never your account details.
Each processes only what is needed for its task. Some of them are outside Canada, the EU and the UK; where required we rely on their standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards.
Retention
Order records and delivered files are kept while your account is active and for 12 months after it closes, so that re-renders and support remain possible. Sample requests are kept for 12 months. Payment records are kept as long as the law requires. Anonymous counters are kept for 90 days. Support email is kept for 24 months.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, or give it to you in a portable form. Email [email protected] from the address you used with us. If you are in the EU or the UK you may also complain to your data protection authority; in Quebec, to the Commission d'accès à l'information. Deleting your data ends our ability to support videos already delivered.
Email
We email you about your orders, your account and, if you asked for a sample, the launch. Every non-transactional email has an unsubscribe link.
Children
The service is for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top changes when we do, and material changes are emailed to subscribers before they take effect.
